The “Operations (Linux) Engineer” role at one.com, lands you with the opportunity of working with a leading technology organization. We are looking for Operations (Linux) Engineer who aspire to work on “Open Source Engineering” assignments using skillset mentioned below.
Job Responsibilities
- Large scale Infrastructure management Setup, Configuration, and Administration
- Application management using Web services, Databases, DNS, Networking, and REST API
- Monitoring and fine-tuning of Linux on-premise Infrastructure and its components
- Debugging Webhosting Infrastructure and application related problems
- Creating Automations from day to day regular Operations and 3rd level Support activities
Essential Skills
- Strong Linux OS fundamentals
- Extensive experience in Linux servers and services setup - DNS, Web, Mail, Database
- Experience with Linux Virtualization using LXC
- Experience with Infrastructure automation tools - Chef, Ansible, Puppet
- Expertise in at least one of the scripting languages - Bash, Python, GoLang
- Experience with Server Monitoring tools - Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix
- Experience with maintaining codebase repository by use of version control Git, SVN
- Strong understanding of Systems Internals, System Calls, Signals, Inter-Process communication
- Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting/debugging with the use of command line utilities
- Good Systems Development Skills
- Strong Systems Administration skills on large scale on-premises Infrastructure set up
- Experience with Service/Application logs and Performance metrics Analysis
- Extensive experience in creating automation by writing and maintaining code, building dashboards, Setting up monitoring alerts
Additional Skills
- Understanding of Development life cycle for one or more Products
- Experience with Container tools Kubernetes
- Understanding/experience of handling Customer Support at Level-3 (L3) for Products and services
- Experience in Incident Handling and root cause analysis with Post-mortems
- Exposure to IT security aspects
Essential Qualification
Bachelors (Engineering) Degree (B. E. / B. Tech.) in Computer Science or Information Technology with 5 years of relevant experience
